  1. Today is the day that my brothers embark on their second attempt to float on water in a cardboard "boat" (since a boat is a vessel for transport by water, constructed to provide buoyancy by excluding water and shaped to give stability and permit propulsion...I'm not totally confident in my use of the word in this situation). I'm feeling somewhat better about this design of the Blue Angel as I reflect on the design of last year's cardboard aircraft carrier/mayflower/nina pinta santa maria.
However, I do have a few questions and suggestions as your wiser, older sister:
Where are you both going to sit? I'm trying to visualize this. Are you straddling the body of the Blue Angel? Will your feet be the landing gear? Is there anything in the rules that prohibits you to do a Fred Flintsone approach and cut out holes in the bottom of your boat so that you can run through the water...I feel that you would have a shot with that approach. Also, will you be wearing flight suits? I believe that you should wear Blue Steel inspired attire...that would give you a competitive edge. Maybe something made of fake leather. It would be more streamline and beneficial to the buoyancy and speed of your Blue Angel's mission.
I'm excited for you both and will be cheering you on! Go Blue Steel!
